this is essentially a triangle shelf made specifically for holding your studio monitors in the corners at 45 degree angles so that the sound intersects as close to the center of the room as possible. it is made of birch hardwood and is spaced so that it will mount on the first stud from the corner of your room. This directional mounting also gives the back of your monitors an area to let the air out of the port on the back (if you have this style of monitor).
